OVERVIEW:
Attack wrestling is a post-season wrestling club that trains athletes at all levels to ultimately help them achieve their high school wrestling goals and prepare kids for collegiate wrestling. Our main emphasis is skill development in all phazes of wrestling. The program is open to all kids grades k-12 from any school, but all practices will be held at Syracuse High School.
Freestyle, Greco, and Folkstyle will all be emphasized to get the athletes wrestling to their fullest potential.
Our first four seasons have been a tremendous success with over 40 members in our first year and over 50 members in our second and third and fourth seasons. Many of which have wrestled at multiple tournaments throughout Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Illinois, and Florida.
2012 SEASON INFORMATION:
• Limited space is available for the younger group (k-4). Only 24 spots!
• The coaching staff is committed to helping you accomplish your goals. Coaches will be available at all practices and tournaments.
• Regular attendance at practices and tournaments is expected and necessary to help you achieve your goals.
• All wrestlers are expected to make 95% of practices. Wrestlers in the older group are expected to be to 7 out of 10 tournaments. For the younger group, tournaments are only encouraged for wrestlers psychologically prepared for high level competition.
• A limited amount of rides will be available for all tournaments. A $5 gas fee will be charged for rides to the in-state tournaments. A parent release of liability will also be required to ride with a coach. Please contact Troy Brown 645-8578 or Jamie Escuriex 628-4212 if you need a ride. It would also be a good idea to carpool with other team members.
• Please remember your red and blue singlet at tournaments. Schoolboy and under must have headgear. USA Wrestling cards must be purchased ($40) online (click here to purchase) and is required at all tournaments. There are different levels of membership in USA Wrestling, click here to view the tiered membership benefits. Tournaments do carry a fee depending on how many styles you sign up for.
• PRACTICES WILL BE HELD EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM FEB. 28 UNTIL APRIL 26.
-folkstyle and freestyle for grades k-4 5:30-6:50 pm
-folkstyle / freestyle / and greco for grades 5-12 7:00-8:30 pm
• NO PRACTICE DURING SPRING BREAK.
